The Shades that will be available are:
Beach, Bellini, Pink Sequin, Pastel, Bare Sparkle, Electric Violet, Midnight Violet, Plum Gold,
Black Ruby, Naked Plum, Hot, Canary, Citrus, Star and Pink Tulle.

They are currently available in the US, but the middle east ofcourse, will have it launched sometime in the end of Aug –start of Sept.

SMOKE-BOX

If you have always wondered how to do the “smokey” eye look, then this is the most basic product as a beginner to use!

This “eyelights” palette from SMASHBOX, known as “SMOKEBOX” consists of the 3 metallic shades. What’s great about this product is that you can use it wet or dry!

This amazing trio includes a dark glittery black, metallic cool brownish gray, & an off-white/beige mid-tone.

How to apply the “trio” for a smokey look:
(WAY #1)
1.       Apply eye primer (Urban decay’s eye primer potion) to prevent creasing + buildup.
2.       Apply the lightest colour over your entire lid (also under brow bone as a highlighter).
3.       Get your MAC 224 tapered blending brush or MAC 217 blending brush (slightly stiffer than 224), and apply the medium brownish/grey eyeshadow with it on the eyelid + outer crease. *Remember: Always move from the crease towards the lid in a downward motion when applying shadow
4.       Then get your MAC 219 Pencil brush & wet it with a little water. Use it with the black eyeshadow and line your eyes (on top of eyelid).
5.       Using your MAC 217 brush, gently blend this black line with whatever’s under it.
6.       Apply black eye pencil liner in your inner lashline, then mascara
(WAY #2)
1.       Another way to do it is do steps 1 &2, then using a stiff crease brush (MAC 217) apply the black eyeshadow in the outer ‘V’ of your eye.
2.       Apply black liquid eyeliner on top.
3.       Apply black eye pencil liner in your inner lashline then add mascara
(WAY #3)
1.       Apply the lighter shade. Then middle shade all over lid using the same 224/217 brush.
2.       Apply the black shade with the 217 brush in the crease.  Lighter application of black in the inner crease but darker in the outer 2/3rd of the crease.
3.       To give more definition to the eye, take the lightest shade (using a small brush) and gently press on the eyelid’s crease (inner corner) & blend. This will give a high impacted defined metallic crease.
4.       Sweep the off white shade under brow bone.
5.       Apply black eye pencil liner in your inner lashline, then mascara
6.       With a small smudging brush or MAC 219 pencil, apply the black shade mixed with middle shade under the bottom lashes. (From darker to lighter).

(Be careful from the black eyeshadow, as it tends to drop dust when applied under your eye. Remove the excess with a “fan brush” or apply loose powder under eye so it won’t affect it!)

Prep + Prime

A beauty must have: The product that is always out of stockà MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder.

What is this loose powder used for?
This silky finishing powder provides an INVISIBLE way to set your makeup. It will reduce your shine while it minimizes your imperfections. It suits all tones & can be worn on makeup or on bare skin. It will also hold your makeup longer!

How to use it?
Do NOT freak out because the product is white.

Once you apply it, it will become transparent. I use a powder puff to apply it.

You can also use a powder brush (MAC 150).
After applying foundation, swirl the MAC 150 brush in the product and tap off the excess then apply to face. Apply to all of your face, exactly on top of all areas foundation has been applied.
If you'd rather use a powder puff, then dab the puff onto the product, tap of any excess, then gently press the powder all over your face. Make sure the powder is blended in order to look transparent by removing any excess powder using the powder brush.
Once your done, you can then apply your skinfinish/bronzer/blusher Etc.
*It’s not cakey over liquid makeup & will remove shine giving you an overall polished look

HD Foundation

I’m always on a mission to find the best Foundation. I try almost any foundation I see and compare it with the best. Once I write about it, then it means it’s tested & verified.
I’m a huge fan of Mac’s liquid foundation, and now I have another liquid foundation that I absolutely love.
MAKE UP FOR EVER “High Definition Foundation”- also known as the ‘invisible cover foundation’.

Applying it by my MAC 190 brush, I feel that it is two times lighter than MAC’s liquid studio fix. As an olive skinned person- I use shade 128.
Why HD? This innovative formula is created to seem invisible on HD cameras & the naked eye. It is an oil free formula, that is not that heavy, but will eventually cover all imperfections. It is designed to make you look your best in even the harshest lighting.
Works well with oily skin. Your skin will look flawless, yet natural with a NON-CAKEY Finish.

G.L.O.S.S.Y

Hellllo! Sorry I havn’t wrote anything for a while now. I was on holiday in Spain!! I’m back and wanted to share some amazing new stuff I have got.
NARS. Oh how much I love you. It’s so sad that Sephora Bahrain doesn’t sell it anymore. Anyways, these lip glosses are beyond amazing.

Serious shine & the shades are never-ending. What I extremely love about those lipglossesà THEY ARE NOT STICKY!! NARS glosses are slick, longwear, and most importantly not too sticky.  In fact, they can last through a whole meal!

Above are my favorite colours. I absolutely love “Striptease” since I’m very into the nude tones. It also go perfectly with the “smokey eye” look.  "Turkish Delight" is KIM KARDASHIAN’s favorite lipgloss. She luvs using this nude milky pinkish gloss. Another new shade which recently launched is “Sweet revenge” which is a must have. It’s sheer with a hint of coral. “Orgasm” is the shimmery-est of them all, making it my least favorite.
You can order them online, or get them from Sephora Dubai.

BEACH ... EYES.... WATERPROOF

Just about to head to the airport… but I heard that lot’s of people are checking out my blog & are asking about “eyeliner”! THE HARDEST TASK FOR A WOMAN.

I will write more about the eyelining in the coming posts, but couldn’t leave without sharing this summer’s beauty tip!

Beach season has arrived, and we are all up to date with the bronzers and summery lipsticks.

Beach eyeliner? WATERPROOF MAYBE!?

You should look pretty while you’re swimming too!

TRY MAC’s Liquid Last Liner!

This amazing little tube will give you amazing eyes while you are swimming. And trust me, it won’t be removed by the water! Just be careful not to get tanning oil next to your eye. Remember that it is a heavy based liner, so it will take some time to dry. But be sure that it is difficult to remove since it is water resistant. Some baby oil would do.

The grip of this liner is slightly different than others. It might be hard for some. However, you should try it and practice will make you master it! I wouldn’t suggest this eyeliner for daily use, it’s made for pools/beach.
Many colours are available:

 Visonaire (clean baby pink)
Classic Cream (white gold)
Greenplay (clean mid tone yellow/green with pearl)
Pop Iris (mid tone violet with pink pearl)
Powerplum (deep plum with red pearl)
Coco Bar (Brown)
Point Black (Black)

TIP: this liner is also ideal for Beauty spot/marks. Just make a small “dot” wherever you want, and let it dry. It will look very natural

2nd Makeup Mistake: Choosing the wrong foundation TYPE

So, not only your colour should be right (previous post), but the type you choose must suit your skin tone. If the foundation is too thick: Your skin might break out! If the foundation’s too light: there’s no use!

Let’s categorize your skin type, with the suitable types of foundation:

DRY SKIN:
-          You need moisturizing foundation (creates a light base)
-          Liquid foundation is the answer ( has extra moisture)
-          Tinted moisturizer is an option

NORMAL SKIN:
-          Matte foundation.

COMBINATION SKIN:
-          You need moisturizing foundation
-          It must be OIL- FREE
-          Can be liquid/creamy/powdery

OILY SKIN:
-          You need a “ MATTE” Foundation
-          Must be OIL-FREE- to reduce the “shine”
-          Preferably liquid that dries into powder, but texture is thicker than moisturizing foundation
-          CAN use powdery foundation, to absorb oil.

SENSTITIVE SKIN:
-          Foundation – ( WITH NO PERFUME)
-          Mineral makeup is the solution

ACNE PRONE SKIN:  Choose a medicinal or Oil- free foundation, or  Matte foundation. Don’t use heavy type, as it might aggravate your skin.

OLDER SKIN/PROBLEM SKIN : good to use creamy foundation for full coverage

#1 MAKEUP MISTAKE: WRONG FOUNDATION COLOUR

Most women do not test their foundation colour before buying it. You don’t want a foundation colour that is darker or lighter than your skin colour. You must test it, but NOT on your wrist/hand!
Your face colour differs from your arm. The best way to test it is on your cheekbones.
Take 3 slightly similar colours that you might think might suit your skin. Apply each colour underneath the previous one, all on your cheek.

The colour that is closest to your natural skin colour is the proper one. The right colour is the one that disappears into your skin.
Go for yellow based colour for natural (suits major skin tones), & if you are very fair then try pinker shades. Make sure the lighting is also right. Flourescent lighting will make your face look GREEN.
However, you must make sure you choose the right foundation type! Liquid might not suit you, so you have to relate it to your skin type. Same goes to powder.
The 2nd mistake is: Choosing the WRONG FOUNDATION TYPE… Check out my next post!
